2010 Pulling Series Results

Pullers,

A dear friend of the LSGTPA family has passed away. Mr Charles Pope of Crawford-Smith passed away on Saturday (08-28-10), he was 76 years old. Mr. Pope has supported our club since 2002 not only being a corporate sponsor but also sponsoring the Greenville Hunt County Fair tractor pulls every single year. Crawford-Smith opened its doors in 1944. Mr. Pope started working for them in 1949. In 1977 Mr. Pope purchased the business and between Craig and Keith, the three have been running it ever since. We appreciate everything Charles and the Pope family has done for us through the years. Charles will be dearly missed by all.

New pull scheduled for Oct 9
Limestone County Fairgrounds

As Jerry spoke about at the last pull, we have an added pull in Groesbeck. The added pull will be October 9th. Put this on your schedules. We would really like a great turn out for this pull. We are hoping to schedule a spring pull next year with them as it is a covered, open wall rodeo arena. Jerry says the dirt looks really good. The fair board there is going to have a roller there for us. This pull is going to be advertised on the local radio. Lets all plan on putting a great show for them! As you know it has been some time since I have done a write up on our pulls. Sorry for the lack of articles! Hopefully I can finish the year out strong.

Well, as most of you know we purchased the digital read out....CHECK IT OUT! The pictures don't do it justice. I heard nothing but praises during the Blue Ridge pull. It is really cool seeing your real time distance as you progress down the track. I am very surprised how well you can see it in direct sun light. Hope you all enjoy it. Blue Ridge was another success. The track turned out great thanks to Randall. We ended up with 38 hooks. No casualties can you believe it?! Everyone did a great job cleaning up.

Jerry is securing a pull down south for October 9th, stay tuned for more info on this pull.

Everybody be thinking about our end of the year meeting as far as where and when. We will discuss it at the next pull. See you in Keller!
